Utrecht, October 12, 2023 - The 58th edition of Kampeer & Caravan Jaarbeurs attracted 5 percent more visitors this year than last year. With over 40,000 visitors, the largest camping event in the Netherlands was completed very successfully. This year there was a special focus on sustainability and innovations. The event exceeded the expectations of both exhibitors and visitors. The organization of Kampeer & Caravan Jaarbeurs also looks back with satisfaction. Rachel Jankowsky: "Campers find sustainability an increasingly important factor when planning their vacations. On the exhibition floor we continuously respond to this need. Thus, we inspired visitors also this edition with a specially designed sustainability route with providers of, among other things, lightweight caravans for behind electric cars and accessories made from recycled or biodegradable parts."
Tens of thousands of visitors enjoyed innovations
Camping & Caravan Jaarbeurs this year was entirely dedicated to sustainability and innovations. Leo Diepemaat, chairman of the trade association KCI (Camping & Caravan Industry) and co-organizer of the fair: "It was a successful camping event with a very wide range. From tents to luxury motor homes, workshops, accessories and destinations. And all in a wonderful vacation atmosphere, with enthusiastic and satisfied visitors and exhibitors." One of the visitors shares with the fair organizers, "You are still surprised by new things. It's not just big white caravans, but there really is a lot of variety in the offer."
A wide range of offerings for young and old
Earlier this week, it was announced that caravan and RV ownership among young audiences has risen substantially faster than in other age groups since corona broke out. Rachel Jankowsky: "It was striking that many younger campers visited the trade fair especially on weekends." For example, exhibitor Knaus Tabbert AG says: "As an exhibitor, we naturally do not want to miss the Camping and Caravan Jaarbeurs, because here we really have the opportunity to present our beautiful products to the public. We reach a variety of customers here, from young to old." Exhibitor Trigano Accessory Group also looks back with satisfaction: "It is of course the ideal place to show here all the products we have developed to consumers and to feel the first reactions."
The new date for next year's fair has also been announced: Wednesday, Oct. 2 through Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024.
