Utrecht, October 9, 2024 - The 59th edition of Kampeer & Caravan Jaarbeurs attracted 4 percent more visitors this year than last year. With almost 42,000 visitors, the largest camping event in the Netherlands was completed very successfully. This year there was a special focus on sustainability, technology and innovation. Consequently, many firsts and innovations were presented on the exhibition floor. The event exceeded the expectations of both exhibitors and visitors. The organization of Camping & Caravan Jaarbeurs also looks back with pride.

Rachel Jankowsky, exhibition manager: "Together with over 200 exhibitors and enthusiastic camping enthusiasts, we made the exhibition floor buzz. We found that the camping industry is in full swing and this year we again proved to be the largest camping event in the Netherlands."

Crowded aisles

The organization of Camping & Caravan Jaarbeurs looks back on a busy successful edition with very satisfied reactions from exhibitors and visitors. Leo Diepemaat, chairman of the trade association KCI (Camping & Caravan Industry) and co-organizer of the exhibition: "We enjoyed packed aisles, scoops such as the compact light and streamlined caravan of Easy Caravanning and the successful Sustainability Congress, where among others in three categories the Sustainable Camping Awards were presented. This congress was organized by HISWA-RECRON, ANWB, BOVAG, KCI, NKC and the organization of Camping & Caravan Jaarbeurs. We notice it not only in the sales figures, also on the exhibition floor we see that camping is unprecedentedly popular." Exhibitor Norbert van Noesel of Thetford adds, "That camping is 'hot' has been proven by the enormous publicity surrounding the Camping & Caravan Jaarbeurs and the growing number of visitors. In a great entourage we were again able to advise and service thousands of consumers. We look back with satisfaction and will definitely be there again next year!"

Best sales results ever

Earlier last week, industry organizations KCI and BOVAG announced that sales of new caravans and motorhomes are growing substantially. Rachel Jankowsky: "On the exhibition floor we noticed that the enthusiasm was enormous for caravans and motorhomes, equipped with many smart and sustainable applications. Tents and folding trailers are also enormously popular." So says exhibitor Marcel Beekman of the Sunshine Group: "We look back on this excellent edition with a very positive feeling. The atmosphere in the various halls was very positive and so was the response to our existing but also certainly our new models from Doréma and Alpenkreuzer. In terms of sales results, we can even speak of our best year ever."

The new date for next year's fair has also been announced: Wednesday, Oct. 1 through Sunday, Oct. 5, 2025.
